This place is great for a picnic with a ton of benches and tables. It'd be a great place to go walking through the trails and swimming. I wouldn't recommend going there if it has recently rained if you aren't an experienced swimmer because there are some very strong currents, but me and my buddy didn't have many problems. We wernt even thinking about going swimming, just wanted to check it out when we went, but couldn't resist jumping in. It is very slippery and there are hidden rocks under the water waiting to surprise you, and we also came across a copperhead, so be careful. For good old fashioned swimming in the river though, it's great. There are a couple of natural rock slides too and from what we saw fishing would be good too. Beautiful place to be, and we only saw a couple groups of people toll through in the few hours we spent there. Definitely going back. Might be our new favorite swimming hole.
Have grew up at the Bull Hole as a small child an loved it. An my children love to go every weekend during the summer.
When we went there really wasn't any water falling, but we made our way across the water, and on the other side in the back were some beautiful falls. If we didn't go to the other side it would have been disappointing. It would be hard for small children, moms with babies, older ppl, and handicapped. You'll need aquatic shoes to get across...be careful, slippery in places!
Great place to hang out and grill a few hotdogs with your family. Be careful, it's slick, but if you dare, you can make it over to the falls and get under. I recommend you take tubes to ride the little rapid but people go on their butts! Lots of big rocks in the pool at bottom. It's also fun to people watch there!
What a neat find. This place is a beautiful family space for sure. Have some fun swimming, rock hopping, and maybe even a little rock climbing. Depending on how adventurous you are. Wear shoes in the water if you can. There are some slick places as well as some sharp hidden rocks.
